Can be relieved by simple home therapy such bed resting, walking, ice, posture correction, and/or NASIDs. Usually this is happening because the low back muscles are fatigued due to overuse, repetitive movements, etc. A very common example is someone who works in office (or WFH) with bad working desk/chair setup. Low back muscles are constantly being stressed throughout the day due to bad working posture. Over time the quality and function of the muscles decrease and start to produce pain signals to let our body know that there are problems. This condition is called Lumbar Myofasciitis.
Are symptoms of more serious low back conditions such as Disc Herniation (aka disc bulge or prolapse), Annular Tearing, Lumbar Spine Stenosis etc. These conditions can be treated with conservative chiropractic treatment and in most cases can avoid surgery intervention. We will discuss in more details in future articles.
